The Pink Chihuahua’s New Cocktail Menu, Soho

Soho’s The Pink Chihuahua is ever tequila lover’s idea of heaven; six different Margaritas, over 300 tequila and mezcal brands, and it’s open until 3am. They’ve recently launched a brilliant new cocktail menu, and I got the full rundown…for research purposes obviously.

You may not have heard of The Pink Chihuahua but you may be familiar with El Camion, its sister venue located upstairs, and the two work in perfect tandem.  Start your evening with some tacos, tostadas and ensaladas before moving to the basement where the fun continues.  The best way to describe The Pink Chihuahua is dive-chic; no airs and graces, just good drinks and a party atmosphere.

The cocktail menu is vast, so it may take some expert help to get your head around all the different drinks.  My personal favourite is the Mezcal Sazerac, a brave mix of Alipus San Baltazar Mezcal, absinthe, and bitters. And the Tequila Manhattan is a great Mexican twist on the American whisky classic. It’s not all tequila either, there’s an ample selection of rum, whisky, and gin based cocktails to keep the non-tequilers happy (you see what I did there?).

If The Pink Chihuahua wasn’t already one of my favourite late night Soho, they’ve given me one more reason to love it even more. Recommended for a real Mexico inspired drinking experience.
