The Blues Kitchen, Camden
Summary:
4.3
Authentic American grills are now two a penny around London. All seem to lay claim to having the best food smoker money can buy, with some even importing directly from the states to get that proper American woody flavour. Having spent many a Saturday night getting sticky with ribs and a wad of napkins to hand, one place still stands out in my mind as the best, and that accolade goes to The Blues Kitchen in Camden.
Many may question my choice maybe because there are much trendier barbeque options out there (not to mention the heaps of street food vendors), or maybe it could be that Camden isn’t trendy enough for your average foodie? But who cares, what really matters is that The Blues Kitchen’s ribs, chilli, and fried chicken are all outstanding. On top of that, there are live bands playing most nights of the week and the vibe is positively buzzing.
Don’t turn up in your Sunday best or expect 5 star table service; and from the outside it looks like an abandoned warehouse- but all the quirks only add to the charm of one of my favourite places to eat in London.
