Portside Parlour, Shoreditch

Formerly housed in the awkward to get to Broadway Market in London Fields, Portside Parlour is a bar that opened up a year and a half ago and quickly became a favourite of East London cocktail lovers.  Despite being located some distance from any major tube or train station, its testament to how good the vibe was that it was full most nights of the week.  However, I was pleased to learn that they packed up the parlour and moved to Rivington Street, aka Shoreditch Cocktail Bar central.

The small discreet venue is conveniently located just 5 minutes’ walk from Old Street tube station and features all the great drinks from the previous Portside Parlour including the Grace Jones, Lost in the Woods, and Daiquiri Bellota.  Like any good dive bar, you won’t find all the intricate niceties of the West End, but if it’s good drinks you are after, then pay a visit.  Also if you fancy a bar crawl, you’ve got Callooh Callay, NOLA, Floripa, Happiness Forgets, The Hoxton Pony and many more all within a 5 minute stumble.
