Oxygen Facial Therapy at Clinica Fiore, Covent Garden

What do Jennifer Aniston, Elle Macpherson, Kylie Minogue, Kim Kardashian and Kate Middleton have in common? They all share a little secret when it comes to their gorgeous glowing skin, oxygen facials! The idea that red carpet worthy complexions can only be achieved in LA is no longer a reality; London offers all the treatments responsible for those eternally youthful celebs, you may just not know about them! So that’s why I decided to review the Oxygen Facial Therapy at Clinica Fiore – I had heard all about it but had to put it to the test.

The first thing worth mentioning is that it’s never too early to start having Oxygen Facials. Although young skin’s epidermis is adequately supplied with oxygen and nutrients, we all know that the stresses of city life and the other factors such as pollution, do take a toll on our complexion, even if you’re in your early twenties. This is a bespoke, relaxing and non-invasive treatment, well-suited for all ages and skin conditions.

The other point to bear in mind is that many salons promise “oxygen facials” where air is sprayed over the face, but this is not at all the same and you should only trust the original OXYjet therapy. In short, a Medical Grade oxygen machine is used to deliver powerful treatment serums into the deepest layers of the epidermis; feeding and hydrating the skin. My therapist was the lovely and very experienced Mary Diaz, who ensured the treatment was enjoyable and customised to suit my skin type.

OxyJet Therapy

Mary began the session by thoroughly cleaning my skin with a few different formulations, including a very powerful enzymes exfoliator that left my pores super clean. Then, pulsing pure O2 pushes the pH correct serums into the skin.  No needles or pain involved to my delight. This process is repeated several times to layer the hydration. The conclusion is a collagen sheet masque and oxygen mask for deep inhalation of pure oxygen for 15 minutes. It does look a bit scary but it really isn’t, it leaves you feeling calm and refreshed.

The unique combination of pure oxygen and highly effective cosmetic formulations results in fresh, plump, hydrated skin. I was surprised with the compliments I got the following day – with someone even comparing the results to those of Botox. Whether you want to maintain your skin looking tighter and smoother or to look radiant ahead of a special occasion, give into temptation and book a consultation.

Each 90 minute session of Oxygen Facial Therapy at Clinica Fiore costs £90 but the full six course plan (£450) is recommended for optimum results.
