House of Holi: 4-12 March 2016
The Holi Festival of Colour is one of my favourite festivals of the London summer. Donning a cheap white tee to get down and dirty to electro beats just feels right and I’m already itching to buy my ticket for this summer’s party in. In the meantime though, to quench my thirst for powder, one of the city’s most popular Indian restaurant’s Cinnamon Kitchen have put on House of Holi, a cold weather version of the summer event.
On until Saturday 12th March, revellers can expect powder aplenty within a specially erected marquee outside the restaurant located on Devonshire Square. For only £8 (or £15 including cocktail + canapes), you’re given an overall before entering the arena where you have the license to powder, party and prance to your heart’s content for 30 minutes.
We went down on the opening night, and I’m pleased to say we got as messy as we ever have at any Holi event (see pics for details!) and if you aren’t too dirty, stay for one of the incredibly drinkable bespoke Holi cocktails.
Play Holi in the City is at Cinnamon Kitchen until Saturday 12th March. To book your spot visit http://www.cinnamon-kitchen.com/play-holi-2016/
