Generator London Relaunches
There was a time when budget hotels were just that. Typified by grotty, miserable rooms in the most undesirable parts of town, if somewhere was that cheap, there was a genuine reason. That all changed in 1995 with the opening of Generator London which flipped the way we looked at hostels and budget hotels forever. The 212 room Bloomsbury hostel gave vibrancy to a sector of the hospitality industry that had long been neglected. In fact, Generator London has done so well that since then, they have opened 6 other hostels around Europe to much acclaim.
Being nearly 20 years old, the site has been given a lick of paint and some exciting new upgrades; the most impressive being 20 new en-suite twin rooms. There is also a cinema room, rejuvenated café, and an impressive bar area with lights made from old fire extinguishers. With dorm rooms from £12.50 (including female only rooms) and private twins from £24.50 Generator London, you won’t find many better value stays in London; perfect for seeing London on a limited budget.
